Minister: Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan plan joint works in Karabakh

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has said Uzbekistan was one of the first countries to offer fraternal support in the restoration of Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.

He made the remarks at the II Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Interregional Forum held in Guba, according to Azertag.

He said it is known that a school for 960 students named after Mirza Ulugbek, a genius son of the Uzbek people, was inaugurated in Fuzuli last August with the participation of the presidents of the two countries.

"Joint works in the textile sphere are planned in the liberated territories. At the initial stage it is planned to open more than 400 new jobs," the minister said.
