Minister: Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan trade up by more than 63% PHOTO
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan increased by more than 63 per cent last year, Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said at the 1st Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Interregional Forum held in Tashkent on February 24.
According to Report, the minister informed about Azerbaijan's economy, noting a 4.6 per cent increase in GDP in 2022, including over 9 per cent increase in non-oil GDP.
The forum also provided information about the favorable business climate of Azerbaijan, the potential of the liberated territories, and invited the business community to active cooperation. It was noted that the construction of a school for 960 students is already underway in the Fuzuli district at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which is another vivid manifestation of the close relations between the two countries.
Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov stressed that his country's economic and trade cooperation with Azerbaijan is developing in an ascending line. It was noted that the establishment of business relations and ties between the regions of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan will further strengthen the mutually beneficial partnership.
Presentations of investment projects, as well as meetings in the B2B and B2G format were held at the event.
