Vessel service companies in Mozambique report a sharp increase in demand due to the worsening situation in the Red Sea.

Mozambique-based CPG Bunkering, which specializes in refuelling ships and replenishing their water and food supplies, notes the growing demand for its services. It emphasizes, however, that its capacity allows it to meet the increased demands and it will not allow queues at Mozambique's ports.
"CPG Bunkering is increasing stocks of different types of fuel in the ports of Nacala and Maputo to fulfil orders from the increasing number of ships that are abandoning the route through the Red Sea and choosing routes along the southeast coast of Africa," the portal quoted the company's statement as saying. - Both Nacala and Maputo are well known to our regular customers, especially international ocean freight operators, and we are now responding to the increase in demand to prevent congestion at the ports."
Ship services almost across Africa are experiencing a surge in demand after several major ocean transportation companies instructed their vessels to refuse passage through the Suez Canal due to a series of attacks on them in the Red Sea, the report said
