Pakistan demonstrates documentary film “Legend of Kharibulbul” PHOTO
The Azerbaijani embassy in Pakistan has said that the documentary film “Legend of Kharibulbul”, dedicated to the history, culture and traditions of Shusha city, was demonstrated in Pakistan.
Ambassadors and embassy staff of member states of the Organisation of Turkic States, university management and students attended the event at the National University of Modern Languages of Pakistan, the Azerbaijani embassy in Pakistan told Report.
Before the screening of the film, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov delivered a speech and emphasised that ancient Shusha city is one of the important centres of the historical, cultural, social and political life of Azerbaijan.
The diplomat said that the Kharibulbul flower growing in Shusha became a symbol of the liberation of Karabakh from occupation.
The Legend of Kharibulbul, which was filmed in Shusha, includes interviews with a number of prominent cultural figures and representatives of art about the history of the city and outstanding people who lived in Shusha. The film also includes the opinions of Western scholars about the culture of the East, Azerbaijani literature, mugham (musical style), etc.
The documentary film was shot on the initiative of the Azerbaijani embassy in Sweden, through the support of the Azerbaijan National Commission for UNESCO and the Ministry of Culture.
