Pashinyan: Dialogue key to changing Armenia-Azerbaijan rhetoric
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that ongoing dialogue between Armenians and Azerbaijanis is primarily aimed at changing entrenched rhetoric, rather than resolving all longstanding issues immediately.
Speaking to journalists, Pashinyan noted that while recent expert meetings are valuable, they alone cannot address the full scope of the 37-year-long conflict, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The PM stressed the importance of a continuous and structured process to foster meaningful change.
“A lack of dialogue perpetuates a cycle in which Armenians perceive that the rhetoric of certain Azerbaijani circles remains static, while Azerbaijanis similarly observe that the rhetoric of certain Armenian circles shows no change,” Pashinyan stated.
