Political consultations between Azerbaijan and Montenegro solidify future collaboration
On April 3, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a pivotal meeting with Perisha Kastratovich, the State Secretary of Montenegro’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two leaders engaged in a productive discussion on the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijan-Montenegro relations, Caliber.Az has learnt from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
They explored avenues for deepening cooperation both bilaterally and through multilateral platforms, as well as addressing key regional and international issues.
A key focus of the talks was the importance of strengthening ties through mutual visits, ongoing contacts, political consultations, and inter-parliamentary exchanges. These efforts are seen as vital for unlocking the full potential of their cooperation in various fields.
Bayramov and Kastratovich highlighted several key sectors where Azerbaijan and Montenegro can expand their collaboration, including the economy, trade, energy security, tourism, and "green" energy. Both countries expressed interest in advancing humanitarian initiatives as well.
During the meeting, Bayramov also provided an in-depth update on the post-conflict situation in Azerbaijan, including the ongoing large-scale reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories and the country’s comprehensive actions to tackle the ongoing mine threat.
The talks were followed by a round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two nations, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov and Kastratovich, solidifying the commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations.
