Putin, Tokayev discuss strategic partnership, energy cooperation in phone call
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed expanding bilateral cooperation and regional issues during a telephone conversation, the Kremlin said.
According to the Kremlin, the two leaders reviewed progress on agreements reached during Putin's state visit to Kazakhstan in May and discussed the further development of the countries' comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance, Caliber.Az reports.
The conversation also focused on the implementation of joint projects in the trade, economic and energy sectors.
Tokayev additionally briefed Putin on his recent official visit to Brussels.
"Whilst discussing the international and regional agenda, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev shared his impressions following his recent visit to Brussels," the Kremlin said in a statement.
