Russia alters traffic pattern on border with Azerbaijan
The traffic pattern at the Yarag-Kazmalyar border checkpoint on the border with Azerbaijan has been changed due to the large flow of heavy trucks going to Russia.
"Due to the increase in the number of trucks traveling from Azerbaijan to Russia, from 00:00 on November 5 to November 17, the traffic pattern at the Yarag-Kazmalyar automobile checkpoint was temporarily changed," TASS cites the Russian Transport Ministry press service as saying.
As reported, all six lanes for freight transport are used to allow cars to enter Russia.
"For the departure of cargo transport from the territory of the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan, it is recommended to use the neighbouring Tagirkent-Kazmalyar checkpoint. Registration of trucks in Tagirkent-Kazmalyar is carried out in two lanes for entry and two lanes for exit," the press service added.
