Russia prepares to cancel visas with countries of Islamic world

Russia is working to abolish the visa regime with a number of states in the Islamic world.

According to Lenta.ru, Mikhail Bogdanov, deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), announced the country's readiness to waive visas.

He also stressed that Russia intends to completely abandon the regime for issuing visas for the benefit of tourism and business.

"Here, of course, the Islamic world occupies a special place - both the Arab and many African countries that are members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation," Bogdanov concluded on the sidelines of the forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum".
