Russia puts Sarmat missile system on experimental combat duty

The latest silo-based strategic missile system Sarmat with the heavy liquid-fueled intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) of the same name has been put on experimental combat duty.

Sarmat was put on experimental combat duty in the Uzhur formation of strategic missile forces. The placement of this strategic missile system on experimental combat duty “was carried out in parallel with the ongoing flight design tests of the product,” TASS reports, citing a source in the rocket and space industry.
