Russia to launch St. Petersburg-Baku flights

The Russian Utair airline will launch direct flights from St. Petersburg to Baku in July.

The company's President Oleg Semenov noted that this year Utair has significantly expanded its route network to Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy.

“At the beginning of the year, we launched direct flights to Ganja and Nakhchivan [Autonomous Republic] from Moscow and to Baku from Moscow, Surgut and Tyumen. In June, we opened a flight to Baku from Grozny [Chechen Republic] and Ufa, and from July we plan to start flights from St. Petersburg. We will continue to open new routes so that our passengers can freely fly on direct flights both within Russia and the CIS,” he said.
