Russian airlines to launch direct Novosibirsk–Batumi flights
Russian carrier Red Wings Airlines will begin operating direct flights between Novosibirsk and Batumi, Georgia, starting May 25, the airline’s press service announced on February 26.
The company said the service will run twice weekly during the summer season using Russian-built Tu-204 and Tu-214 aircraft. The inaugural flight is scheduled for May 25, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
Departures from Novosibirsk are planned for Mondays and Thursdays, with return flights from Batumi on Wednesdays and Sundays. Flight time to the Black Sea resort city, located in Georgia’s Adjara region, is expected to be approximately 5 hours and 10 minutes.
According to the airline, the new route will provide a direct link between Siberia and Georgia’s Black Sea coast, making travel to Batumi more convenient for residents of Novosibirsk by eliminating the need for transfers and reducing overall journey time.
With the addition of the Novosibirsk route, Red Wings will offer direct services to Georgia from nine Russian cities. In addition to Novosibirsk, these include Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Samara, Krasnodar, Sochi and Ufa.
