Russian envoy: Bratislava set to destroy relations with Moscow
Bratislava is set to destroy its relations with Moscow and is actively involved in arming Kyiv, Russian Ambassador to Slovakia Igor Bratchikov said.
“Unfortunately, the current leadership of Slovakia, almost immediately after coming to power, set to destroy our relations, and over the past year, it has cut off all ties between government agencies and banned any contacts in the field of science and culture. There is frenzied anti-Russian propaganda in the media. However, it is quite obvious that this entire campaign, which is contrary to the true national interests of the Slovak people, is being controlled from abroad,” the envoy said in an interview published on May 15 in the Izvestia newspaper.
Besides, he noted that Slovakia is most active in arming Ukraine.
“All 13 MiG-29 fighter jets, S-300 and Kub air defence systems, 30 BMP-1, and five Mi helicopters were donated to Kyiv free of charge. All this was delivered to the Kyiv regime in violation of the relevant Russian-Slovak agreements, which clearly prohibit the transfer of weapons and military equipment to third states without the permission of the producing country,” he added.
