Secretary-General sees joint cooperation critical for Organization of Turkic States
Secretary General of the Organisation of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev has said that unity is very important during emergency situations.
Omuraliev made these remarks during the second meeting of the Ministers on Disaster and Emergency Management of the Member States and Observer States of the Organisation of Turkic States, APA reports.
He noted that the joint cooperation of the Turkic states is an important step.
“The heads of state also attach great importance to this unity, brotherhood. We are doing common work together in connection with disaster and emergency management. To date, six meetings of working groups have been held. The working groups made relevant reports in connection with the meetings.
At present, the goal is to discuss the development of existing ties between the agencies of the OTS member countries responsible for managing emergency situations, achieving joint and coordinated activity during emergency situations and discussing a draft agreement on the creation of a civil defence mechanism within the organisation.
