Seven Ukrainian drones shot down over three Russian regions
Russian air defence systems destroyed seven Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight in the Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions.
According to a statement by the Russian Defence Ministry, the air defences intercepted and neutralised four drones over the Belgorod region, one over the Kursk region, and two more over the Bryansk region, Caliber.Az reports.
The Ministry emphasised that all drones were aircraft-type UAVs launched by Ukrainian forces.
The report highlights the ongoing tensions between the two nations, with drone incursions becoming a frequent part of the broader conflict.
Meanwhile, on September 15, Russia's Defence Ministry reported significant success in repelling a new wave of Ukrainian drone attacks in the western regions of the country. The ministry stated that its air defence systems had successfully intercepted and destroyed 29 Ukrainian drones overnight, highlighting ongoing hostilities in the region.
The specific interceptions included 15 drones over the Bryansk region, five over Kursk, four over Smolensk, two over Oryol, and one each in the Belgorod, Kaluga, and Rostov regions. Additionally, the ministry confirmed the downing of another drone over the Ryazan region later that morning.
