SOCAR Türkiye, Sabanci University develop 'green hydrogen' project
SOCAR Türkiyə Ar-Ge ve İnovasyon A.Ş. is focusing on hydrogen-based (H2) technologies needed for renewable energy production in cooperation with Sabancı University.
SOCAR Türkiyə Ar-Ge ve İnovasyon A.Ş. and Sabancı University project teams are seeking to develop unique electrodes containing next-generation catalysts to produce "green hydrogen" from water, Report informs citing Anadolu Agency.
Clean energy technologies are needed in line with the European Union's goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050 and minimising its carbon footprint.
Hydrogen is considered the most promising fuel for this purpose. The research launched as part of the cooperation between SOCAR Türkiyə and Sabancı University aims to contribute to this field.
