The Anka III UAV is Türkiye's first turbofan-powered drone. It is positioned as a drone for deep strikes and suppression of enemy air defence systems, taking into account the embodiment of stealth technology in the vehicle and its high payload capacity.
This technique is built according to the "flying wing" scheme. The maximum altitude for the UAV is 12 kilometres, provided that it operates at an altitude of up to 9 kilometres, the autonomy will be up to 10 hours. The UAV's cruising speed is 463 km/h, with a maximum speed of 787 km/h.
The new Turkish drone has a takeoff weight of 6,500 kg and a payload of 1,200 kg. It can be equipped with seven different weapon systems, including an internal weapons bay.
It is known that the drone will be equipped with Simsek barrage munitions, as well as probably the SOM-J cruise missile and other long-range weapons.
