Türkiye's first autonomous underwater vehicle tested VIDEO
Türkiye's first developed by ASELSAN autonomous underwater vehicle DERINGÖZ completed the diving tests. The domestic vehicle stands out with its structure and autonomous capability that can be used for both military and civilian purposes.
Turkish SavunmaSanayiST.com made a post on its X account saying underwater ASELSAN DERİNGÖZ passed the tests successfully, Caliber.Az reports.

Within the scope of the tests carried out by ASELSAN, DERİNGÖZ's diving capabilities were tested. In this context, maneuverability, precise navigation ability and optical-sonar systems were overhauled. It was observed that the vehicle could descend to a depth of 600 meters and wireless communication was successful.
According to the information provided by ASELSAN, DERİNGÖZ's speed reaches 5.5 knots and its scanning speed reaches 3 knots. He designed the domestic autonomous underwater vehicle as a flexible system that can be used in various missions for both military and civilian purposes.
A spokesperson for the F-35 Joint Program Office announced that the F-35A model has received approval for the operational B61-12 thermonuclear bomb carrying certificate.
The vehicle's mission modules can also be easily changed. In this context, it can undertake tasks such as underwater research, reconnaissance, mine scanning and pipeline inspection.
In the statement on the subject, “DERİNGÖZ Autonomous Underwater Vehicle”, which has the first autonomous movement capability of the country, provides underwater research, reconnaissance and surveillance, mine detection, pipeline inspection, port and base operations thanks to its high maneuverability, precise navigation ability, optical and sonar imaging technologies. “It can be used in many critical tasks such as protection.”
After successful tests, the vehicle is expected to be ready for use in the field soon. With this project, ASELSAN once again demonstrated the competence of the Turkish defense industry in the field of autonomous systems.
