Türkiye to hand over new list of terrorists to Finland, Sweden
The Turkish authorities will hand over to Finland and Sweden a new list for the extradition of persons charged with terrorism.
Consultations on the topic of Helsinki and Stockholm joining NATO will be held on August 26 in Finland, according to Yeni Şafak.
The point is about a meeting of the Joint Permanent Mechanism created within the framework of the trilateral memorandum signed at the alliance summit.
The Turkish delegation will be led by Presidential Press Secretary Ibrahim Kalyn and Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Anal. Ankara will remind the countries of the obligations on 10 points that have not yet been fulfilled, the newspaper writes.
"It will be emphasised that Ankara is determined over the extradition of terrorists and the obligations that must be fulfilled," Yeni Şafak notes.
At the same time, the list of terrorists was expanded, and the names of those citizens whose extradition Türkiye had already requested earlier were added to it, the newspaper writes.
