According to the Ministry, the memorandum marks a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to support the export of Eurofighter Typhoons.
Türkiye’s potential adoption of the aircraft is expected to further bolster the longstanding ties between the two NATO allies and enhance the country’s modern combat air capabilities.
Officials say the signing ushers in a new phase of UK-Türkiye defence partnership and will deepen cooperation in military capabilities while supporting both nations' defence industries through mutual acquisition of advanced equipment.
The MoU formalises the strategic intent of both countries and lays the groundwork for a broader agreement surrounding the Typhoon programme.
