Two PKK terrorists killed in Türkiye

Turkish police special forces eliminated two terrorists in the Van province’s Ercis district in the east of the country.

The operation took place in the vicinity of the Yanktepe village in coordination with the intelligence department. Reconnaissance drones were used, Anadolu reports, citing the Main Police Department.

One of the terrorists, Sevilai Akyildirim, nicknamed "Hezhar Ronya Serhat", was on the list of wanted terrorists in Türkiye with the colour coding "blue".

The successful operation was also confirmed by Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu.

"By October 29, 2023, not a single terrorist will remain in the mountains of Türkiye. Congratulations to the intelligence department and the Van police," the minister wrote on social media.
