US citizens evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan PHOTO

Following the outbreak of conflict between Israel and Iran, the evacuation of foreign nationals from Iran to Azerbaijan continues.

Throughout the day, foreign citizens have been evacuated in small groups via the border crossing point at Astara on the state border, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Not long ago, more than 10 U.S. citizens and other foreign nationals were evacuated to Azerbaijan. U.S. citizen Aborzi Aboring stated that favourable conditions were provided at the border for the crossing: “I thank the Azerbaijani government for organising the evacuation.”

Notably, some foreign countries have appealed to the Azerbaijani government to assist in returning their citizens from Iran to their home countries via Azerbaijan as a transit route.
