US to host Caspian region partnership forum in Washington
The “Trans-Caspian Forum 2026” will be held in Washington on June 10 under the theme “Economic Security Through Peace and Sustainable Partnership,” according to the Caspian Policy Center.
The forum will bring together senior officials from the United States and the Caspian region, as well as experts and private sector leaders. The main focus will be on strengthening strategic cooperation between the U.S. and countries of the wider Caspian region.
Confirmed participants include U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev, Kazakhstan’s presidential envoy for U.S. negotiations Erzhan Kazykhan, Deputy Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan Javlon Vakhabov, and Adviser to Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Taleh Ziyadov.
The agenda will cover the development of the Middle Corridor, digital sovereignty and industrial artificial intelligence, energy and nuclear security, critical minerals extraction, and investment attraction for projects along the Trans-Caspian route.
