Uzbek entrepreneurs seek US collaboration to boost trade, innovation
Uzbekistani officials are holding negotiations with New York City administrators on the setting up of a vocational and technical school.
Those plans were discussed when the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan welcomed an American delegation led by the current Mayor of New York, Eric Adams, as Caliber.Az reports, citing the trade organization’s press statement.
The meeting was attended by Umid Safarov, the Adviser to the Chairman of the Chamber, together with leading entrepreneurs of the country and representatives of business associations.
The parties discussed the creation of a joint college with the participation of New York City officials, which could be established either in the capital of Uzbekistan or in the United States.
They also talked about deepening trade and economic ties, developing joint cooperation projects, and preparing entrepreneurs for the US capital markets through collaboration with the New York Stock Exchange.
The Chairwoman of the Small Business Association of Uzbekistan, Kamolat Mirzaaliyеva, expressed interest in working with a similar organization in New York and in supporting the export of Uzbek products to the U.S. market.
Uzbek entrepreneurs proposed expanding supplies of agricultural products, developing the production of biochemical goods, and implementing innovative projects.
