Uzbekistan, Baku-based foundation sign Turkic Culture cooperation deal
A memorandum of cooperation has been signed in Tashkent between the Centre for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, headquartered in Baku.
The agreement was concluded on the sidelines of an international scientific conference dedicated to the legacy of Amir Temur, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The memorandum was signed by Director of the Centre for Islamic Civilization Firdavs Abdukhalikov and President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova.
The agreement is aimed at strengthening cooperation in promoting and popularising the cultural heritage of the Turkic world at the international level. In particular, the parties intend to implement joint projects and initiatives.
The cooperation framework will include the organisation of cultural events, exhibitions, and forums, as well as the implementation of scientific and educational programs, along with the preparation and publication of joint materials.
In addition, the memorandum provides for expanded collaboration in the exchange of knowledge and the implementation of other initiatives of mutual interest.
