"We co-create the future": Israeli ambassador hails new AI deal with Azerbaijan
Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ronen Krausz described the signing of a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) on artificial intelligence with Azerbaijan as a “milestone day.”
The agreement, signed in Jerusalem in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, aims to strengthen cooperation on supercomputing, critical civilian applications, talent development, and joint research, Caliber.Az reports.
Speaking after the signing, Ambassador Krausz wrote on X: “We don’t just anticipate the future – we co-create it!”
Prime Minister Netanyahu also extended an invitation to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to visit Israel, signalling a deepening of technological and strategic ties between the two nations.
On February 3, Azerbaijan and Israel signed a memorandum of understanding in artificial intelligence, the Prime Minister’s Office announced.
The deal, signed in Jerusalem by Gen. (res.) Erez Eskel, head of Israel’s National AI Directorate, and Azerbaijani Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev, in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, aim to strengthen bilateral ties in AI.
The partnership will focus on supercomputing infrastructure, AI applications in key civilian sectors, human capital development, and joint research. Netanyahu said the collaboration would help both countries become leaders in the field.
