Assets of Azerbaijani banking sector up by over 22%

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has said that the assets of the Azerbaijani banking sector reached 47,054.9 billion manats ($27,679.3 billion) as of January 1, 2023, which is 22.3 per cent more than on January 1, 2022.

During the reported period, the liabilities of the banking sector increased by 23.7 per cent - up to 41,432.8 billion manats ($2,437.2 billion), while the balance sheet capital increased by 13.1 per cent - up to 5,622.1 billion manats ($3,307.1 billion), Report informs citing the CBA.
