Azerbaijan gets right to duty-free exports to Türkiye

Azerbaijan will annually export 1.5 million litres of wine and fermented alcoholic beverages to Türkiye at a zero per cent customs rate.

This was reflected in a decree adopted by the Turkish Parliament in accordance with the new preferential trade agreement between the two countries, Report reports citing Turkish press.

According to the decree, imports of a number of products from Azerbaijan were exempted from customs duties for 10 years. Thus, Türkiye will import wine, mulberry, quince, steel products and packaging materials from Azerbaijan without customs duties, while Azerbaijan will import copper, wire, washing machines, monitors, video recorders, auto parts and aluminium from Türkiye.
