Armenia failed to confirm Russian ambassador-at-large’s visit Russian foreign minister says
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Yerevan has not yet confirmed his country's ambassador-at-large visit to Armenia.
“The Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador on special assignment visited Baku and planned a visit to Yerevan, but his Armenian colleagues have not confirmed it yet,” Lavrov told a briefing in the margins of the 3rd Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Report informs.
The FM affirmed Moscow’s readiness to provide assistance in unblocking all communications in the region, and with regard to the delimitation of the border and, accordingly, the preparation of a peace treaty.
He recalled that Russia has appointed an ambassador-at-large to help normalise Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, who has already visited Baku.
"Our colleagues in Yerevan have not confirmed him. This demonstrates the Armenian authorities’ attitude towards Russia," the minister noted.
