Ambassador: No deep contradictions in current Russia-Azerbaijan relations
Currently, there are no significant conflicts in the relationship between Russia and Azerbaijan, and the two countries are actively cooperating.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moscow, Polad Bulbuloglu, made this statement in an interview with a Russian media outlet ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Baku, according to Caliber.Az.
"I'm pleased to say that today, relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are at a very high level of allied cooperation. We are working very actively, and there are no deep disagreements between our countries at present," he noted.
The ambassador emphasized that Moscow and Baku openly and amicably discuss all issues that arise.
"Like in any household, family, or relationship, there can be disagreements—life is life. But the most important thing is that we have developed such a relationship that we can openly, in a friendly and very amicable manner, discuss any problems that come up.
There are active political consultations taking place between the foreign ministries of the two countries. The intergovernmental commission is also working very productively, with the Russian side led by Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk and the Azerbaijani side by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev. The most recent meeting took place in Baku on August 9," the diplomat pointed out.
