Another A380 plane lands in Baku to pick up passengers of previously compromised flight VIDEO
Another Airbus A380 plane, the world's largest passenger aircraft, of the Australian Qantas Airways, whose plane made an emergency landing at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport on December 23, arrived in Baku in the early hours of December 25 to pick up the passengers of the Singapore-London flight to continue their journey.
As Caliber.Az reports citing the airport's press service, the passengers of this flight have been flown from Baku's Heydar Aliyev International Airport to their destination on the same day.
Caliber.Az recalls, that on December 23, the captain of the two-deck airliner A380 requested a landing at the Baku Airport while in the airspace over the territory of Georgia. The cause of the emergency landing was a triggered smoke sensor in the cargo compartment of the aircraft.
It is worth highlighting, that Baku Airport is one of the few in the world that possesses the necessary equipment for the maintenance of this giant type of aircraft, with a runway that is capable of receiving such a large airliner. This is not the first time A380 crews have requested an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
