Armenia, US discuss military, defence cooperation
Armenian First Deputy Defence Minister Lt Gen Edward Asryan attended a conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the US National Guard Partnership Program on July 17-18 in Washington.
"Within the framework of the event, meetings were held with US National Guard Bureau Chief Gen Daniel Hokanson, US European Command for Strategy, Planning and Policy Director Maj Gen Daniel Lasica, Adjutant General of the State of Kansas, National Guard Commander Brig Gen Michael Venerdi,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
In the framework of the meetings, the current level and perspectives of Armenia-Kansas cooperation within the framework of the partnership program, as well as a number of issues related to the bilateral cooperation with the United States were discussed.
On the same day, Lt Gen Edward Asryan had a meeting with Defence Minister of Cyprus Michalis Yorgallas and Commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Cyprus Lt Gen Dimokritos Zervakis.
A number of issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
