Armenian Constitutional Court to evaluate agreement on Azerbaijan border delimitation
On September 24, the Constitutional Court of Armenia will review the regulation governing the joint work of border delimitation commissions with Azerbaijan.
The press service of the Armenian Constitutional Court told Armenian media that the court will assess the document signed by Yerevan and Baku on August 30 to ensure its compliance with the Constitution, Caliber.Az reports.
This regulation, which was approved by the Armenian government last week, will be discussed by the National Assembly following the court's review and a favourable conclusion.
On August 30, the Armenian Foreign Ministry announced that Yerevan and Baku had signed a regulation outlining the joint activities of their border delimitation and demarcation commissions.
The draft decision outlines the organization of delimitation activities, including the preparation of relevant documents, the creation of a protocol description for the state border crossing, the drafting of a delimitation map at an appropriate scale, and the formation of expert groups.
The regulation and the accompanying documents are expected to provide a solid legal foundation for the comprehensive execution of the delimitation process.
