Armenian journalist: Neither Turks, Russians nor Azerbaijanis are to blame for Armenia's troubles
Armenian journalist Tatul Hakobyan has said that neither Turks, Russians nor Azerbaijanis are to blame for Armenia's troubles.
"We often look for the causes of mistakes, omissions and crimes outside Armenia. We say Russians are to blame, Turks are to blame, Azerbaijanis are to blame, the world is to blame. However, during my numerous visits to settlements in Armenia, I have seen several disturbing phenomena and trends that are not the fault of Russians, Turks, Azerbaijanis or the world," Hakobyan wrote on his Facebook page, Caliber.Az reports.
"For example, Armenia's villages, especially border villages, continue to age, the number of young people who do not want to marry has reached huge proportions, the population has a great desire to move from border villages to the district centre, Yerevan or abroad, if there are opportunities. This is certainly a topic for study - why it is so. This is not a new phenomenon, it is certainly a trend of the last years of the Soviet period," the journalist writes.
