Armenian PM suggests sending UN or OSCE fact-finding mission to Karabakh
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has suggested that a fact-finding mission by the UN or OSCE be sent to the Lachin road and Karabakh region.
Pashinyan made these remarks at a meeting of the Armenian government on December 22, commenting on the situation on the Lachin road, as Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.
He emphasized that the international community should pay more attention to the process of the, by him alleged, blocking of the Lachin road by Azerbaijan.
“The international community should intensify its activity in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. It is necessary to work hard to send a UN, OSCE or OSCE Minsk Group fact-finding mission to the Karabakh region and the Lachin road”, Pashinyan said.
The Armenian prime minister noted that Azerbaijan continues to accuse Armenia of not fulfilling its obligations.
Pashinyan added that Yerevan had submitted its proposals for a peace treaty to Baku and was ready to sign a document with similar content, expressing his hope that Baku would positively react to it.
Moreover, he said that proposals for the delimitation of the border and restoration of routes were submitted.
