Azerbaijan, China discuss introduction of energy storage systems

Azerbaijan has discussed cooperation with Chinese companies in the field of application of energy storage systems.

The discussions were held at the meeting between Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and a delegation headed by Zhu Bo, General Manager for Eurasian region of China Southern Power Grid Company and Powerchina Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited, Caliber.Az informs, citing the Ministry of Energy.

At the meeting, information was presented on the "green capacities" to be integrated into the existing power grid of Azerbaijan within the framework of expanding the use of renewable energy sources.

A presentation with proposals on battery and hydroelectric energy storage systems was heard.
