Azerbaijan develops preliminary plans for medical tourism
Azerbaijan has developed preliminary plans for medical tourism, the service will be provided at Yeni Klinika.
Vugar Gurbanov, executive director of the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), told journalists, Report informs.
According to him, in the first stage, medical tourism services will be provided at Yeni Klinika, the most suitable medical centre in terms of equipment and medical services.
Medical tourism in Azerbaijan covers a much broader range of experiences than many people imagine: from pleasant leisure with intentional recreation and health care to a healthier body, a livelier mind, heart and spirit.
Azerbaijan attracts increasing numbers of tourists each year with its curative resources, and one of the most unusual of all is its mud volcanoes. Around eight hundred mud volcanoes exist in the world, three hundred of which are located in Azerbaijan, and the mud from these volcanoes is widely used in cosmetology and the treatment of many diseases.
Any holistic approach to health should include the essentials of rejuvenating air and a relaxing environment, both of which Azerbaijan has in abundance. Snow-capped mountains, fun memories and the opportunity to unwind from a hectic schedule have also proven beneficial to many weary travellers who discovered just what they needed amidst the sights and sounds of the Caucasus.
