Azerbaijan increases agricultural production
In January-June 2023, the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in actual prices amounted to 5.865 billion manats, which is 14.48 percent more than in 2022, Trend reports.
According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, over the indicated period, livestock production in value terms increased by 17.43 per cent, up to 2.897 billion manats, and in crop production - by 11.79 per cent, up to 2.968 billion manats.
So, as of June 1, 2023, spring crops were planted on an area of 350,040 hectares, including grain and leguminous crops - on an area of 31,780 hectares, potatoes – 49,470 hectares, vegetables – 61,220 hectares.
In January-June 2023, Azerbaijan produced 285,400 tons of meat, 1.122 million tons of milk and 1.107 billion chicken eggs. Meat production increased by 3.1 per cent, milk - by 2.7 per cent, chicken eggs - by almost 12 per cent compared to the same period in 2022.
In 2022, the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in actual prices amounted to 10.984 billion manats, which is 3.4 per cent more than in 2021, livestock production in value terms increased by 3.4 per cent, to 5.446 billion manats, and in crop production - by 3.3 per cent, to 5.538 billion manats.
In 2021, the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in actual prices amounted to 9.163 billion manats, which is 3.4 percent more than in 2020. During this period, livestock production increased by 2.8 per cent, up to 4.652 billion manats, and in crop production - by 4 per cent, up to 4.511 billion manats.
