Azerbaijan organises information tour for photographers to liberated lands (PHOTO)
The Azerbaijani State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced People has organised another information tour to Fuzuli, Lachin, Shusha and Zangilan, in accordance with the First State Programme for the Great Return to the territories liberated from occupation, as part of the activity to enlighten about the return of internally displaced people to the newly created settlements.
The tour participants were informed about the work carried out to implement the activity envisaged in the First State Programme and fulfill the instructions of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the State Committee told Azertac.
The guests were also informed that the consequences of vandalism committed by the occupiers in Shusha will be removed as a result of large-scale restoration and creative work being carried out in Shusha under the leadership of President Aliyev and local residents who have been internally displaced people for many years will be able to return to their native lands.
The measures outlined in the State Programme and carried out to revive the city are consistent. Along with the construction of new residential areas, the city infrastructure is being rapidly reconstructed.
The tour participants, who viewed the ongoing restoration and construction work in the city, visited the Shusha fortress, the Museum-Mausoleum of Molla Panah Vagif, the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque and Jidir Plain.
Moreover, the tour participants also visited the Lachin district. After large-scale restoration and creative work carried out in Lachin city, as well as in Zabukh village of the Lachin district, former internally displaced people are returning to their native lands.
The guests, who viewed the living conditions of the population returning to Lachin, visited new plants, factories and other infrastructure facilities created here, talked to residents, and took part in the ceremony of presenting apartment keys to the families resettled in Zabukh village.
The tour participants visited Lachin residents who returned to their native land. Villagers expressed satisfaction with the conditions created in the village.
Then the participants visited Fuzuli city, destroyed as a result of Armenian vandalism and turned into ruins, being restored after liberation from occupation, as well as Agali village in the Zangilan district, built upon the “smart village” concept.
After viewing the conducted work, they saw the conditions created at the infrastructure facilities and talked to the residents who revived their native land.
During the trips, the tour participants took interesting photographs of the destruction committed during the occupation, and the ongoing restoration and construction work. The photographs were published on the State Committee’s social media accounts.
Members of the Azerbaijan Photographers Union, photographers working in various local and private organisations were involved in the information tour.
The tour participants noted that the information tour was productive and useful.
The information tours to the territories liberated from occupation will continue as part of the Action Plan of the First State Programme for the Great Return.
