Azerbaijan plans business mission to Israel in 2026
Azerbaijan plans to send representatives of local companies to Israel for a business mission in 2026, Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), announced.
He emphasised that the previous day, Azerbaijani companies had been discussed as potential participants in infrastructure projects in Israel, Caliber.Az reports.
“We agreed to organise a business mission to Israel, develop a targeted program, and identify companies interested in expanding cooperation,” Abdullayev said on January 26 at the Azerbaijan-Israel Business Forum.
He noted that Azerbaijani and Israeli counterparts agreed to exchange information on upcoming infrastructure projects and developments in Israel, which will be shared with Azerbaijani companies to raise awareness of potential opportunities.
Abdullayev added that the forum, attended by more than 110 companies from both sides, demonstrates a shared commitment to translating bilateral partnership into tangible economic results.
According to him, the B2B and B2G meetings were highly productive, highlighting potential in strategic sectors. Discussions covered digital solutions for agriculture to enhance productivity using AI, modernisation of water infrastructure, advanced water management systems, pressure regulation technologies, IoT-based digitalisation of the water sector, raw material supply, and sustainable food production opportunities.
Regarding trade relations, Abdullayev noted that in 2025, bilateral trade reached $78 million. From January to November 2025, Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports to Israel grew by 27%, reaching approximately $20.3 million.
Earlier, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Azerbaijan’s National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (ASK) and Israel’s Manufacturers Association (MAI), paving the way for enhanced bilateral business cooperation.
The agreement includes organising business missions, B2B meetings, investment exploration, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
