Azerbaijan's gas production up by over 58% in 10 years

Over the past 10 years (2013-2022) gas production in Azerbaijan has grown by 58.6 per cent and the highest growth was recorded in projects implemented with foreign companies.

According to SOCAR data, in 2013 gas production in the country was 29.5 billion cubic metres, in 2022 this figure was already 46.8 billion cubic metres, which is also the peak figure recorded in the reported period, APA reports.

It should be noted that a significant part of gas production in Azerbaijan accounts for the projects for the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil and gas field block and the Shah Deniz gas condensate field, which are implemented jointly with foreign companies.
