Azerbaijan sees increase in revenues from cargo handling via TRACECA
The revenues of Azerbaijan from cargo and passenger transportation along the local section of the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) made up nearly 156.8 million manats ($92.2 million) from January to March 2022, having increased by 6.9 per cent compared to the same period last year.
This figure was slightly over 146.7 million manats ($86.3) in the first quarter of 2021, APA informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
The committee reported that the country’s revenues from cargo shipment along the TRACECA local section for the first quarter of 2022 amounted to 147.1 million manats ($86.5 million), and from passenger transportation - 9.66 million manats ($5.68 million), which is 5.8 per cent and 26.8 per cent more in annual comparison, respectively.
