Azerbaijan strengthens academic diplomacy at QS Eurasia Forum in Uzbekistan PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, addressed the QS Eurasia Forum, an event organized by the global ranking agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and hosted by the University of Central Asia University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, highlighting the country's higher education strategy.
The minister presented an overview of Azerbaijan’s efforts to advance internationalization and strengthen scientific research. He also outlined ongoing initiatives aimed at boosting the global competitiveness of the country’s higher education institutions, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education.

The forum additionally featured a high-level roundtable with the participation of ministers, deputy ministers, and senior representatives of leading universities. Discussions centered on key issues such as institutional performance indicators for higher education institutions, employment outcomes, and the long-term sustainability of the higher education system.
Delegations from several prominent Azerbaijani universities were also in attendance, contributing to the broader dialogue on regional academic cooperation and educational development.
The Central Asian University hosts the inaugural QS Eurasia Forum 2025, taking place on 25–26 November in Tashkent. Organized in partnership with QS Quacquarelli Symonds and supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations of Uzbekistan, the Forum is set to become a landmark event for the entire Eurasian region — a platform bringing together leaders in education, science, and public policy.
The main theme of the Forum, “Broadening Horizons: Building Global Bridges in Higher Education,” focuses on enhancing international academic cooperation, strengthening the global presence of regional universities, and building new educational bridges between countries.
