Azerbaijan thwarts smuggling of over 8 kg of drugs from Iran

On December 25 at 20:00, the smuggling of narcotics from Iran to Azerbaijan was stopped at the service area of the border outpost of the Lankaran border detachment, located near Hamosham village of Astara region.

Iranian citizens Jamshidi Gulamrza (born in 1968) and Yusifzadeh Siyamek (born in 1988) were detained. During the inspection, 8 kg 75 g of marijuana and Methadone M-40 tablets were found and confiscated from them, the State Border Service told Caliber.Az.
