Türkiye dismantles fraud network in major Hücre-7 operation VIDEO
A major operation targeting an organized criminal group of fraudsters has been successfully carried out in 13 provinces across Türkiye, resulting in the detention and arrest of dozens of individuals involved in illegal activities.
The operation, dubbed Hücre-7, was launched with the centre in Izmir as Türkiye's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya took to social media to share the operation's success, Caliber.Az reports.

The operation led to the detention of 88 suspects, with 61 individuals arrested. Additionally, judicial control decisions were made for 27 suspects. The operation, part of Türkiye's ongoing efforts to combat organized crime, targeted a group involved in fraudulent activities.
In a significant seizure, authorities confiscated a range of illicit items during the operation. These included unlicensed firearms, various drugs, large amounts of foreign currency, Turkish lira, and digital materials. The Turkish police are continuing their investigation into the group’s activities, with the operation marking a major victory in the fight against organized crime.
Minister Yerlikaya, emphasized the government's commitment to eliminating criminal groups and enhancing public safety across the country.
Earlier, in a major operation across Türkiye, authorities have successfully dismantled nine organized criminal groups as part of operation Hücre.
According to Yerlikaya, in the course of operation conducted over the past period, 76 suspects, including members of organized crime groups and their leaders, were detained.
"50 suspects have been arrested, 25 have been placed under judicial control," Yerlikaya stated.
The operation also led to significant seizures. Authorities confiscated 10 unlicensed handguns, five unlicensed hunting rifles, various narcotics, as well as a number of computers, mobile phones, and bank cards.
