Azerbaijan to produce fuel according to Euro-5 standard from 2023

The construction of new units envisaged within the reconstruction and modernisation project was completed by 93 per cent at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery while the construction of modernised units - by 99 per cent in Azerbaijan in late 2022.

“The goal of the reconstruction and modernisation project being implemented at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery is to minimise the negative impact on the environment along with the production of high-quality products. The project envisages the production of diesel and gasoline fuel in 2023 in accordance with Euro-5 standards,” APA reports citing the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers’ report on activity in 2022.
