Azerbaijan to provide feeder transit services to Europe

The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) will provide feeder transit services on board the “Poet Vagif” ship between the Georgian port of Poti and the Constanța port of Romania.

The remarks came from the spokesperson for ASCO, Mehman Mehdiyev, according to Report.

He said the ship as the main transporter will be used for the transportation of transit cargo on the routes Europe-China-Europe and Europe-Central Asia-Europe.

“At the same time, the time of delivery of goods in the Black Sea by the container line on these routes will be reduced. This will increase the attractiveness of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route through the Black Sea and the volume of container traffic along the route,” Mehdiyev concluded.
