Azerbaijan, Vietnam discuss enhancing cooperation

Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov has met with Vietnamese Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son as part of his official visit to Vietnam.

During the meeting, the officials shared views on the historical roots of the Azerbaijani-Vietnamese relations, bilateral cooperation and directions for further strengthening mutual ties, Caliber.Az informs citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s statement.

Mammadov informed Son about the post-war situation in the South Caucasus, including reconstruction, construction and reintegration work in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, and thanked the Vietnamese side for the constant support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

Furthermore, political consultations were held between the diplomats with the participation of delegations.

The meeting also highlighted the traditionally friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Vietnam that have been developing in recent years on the full range and discussed the existing potential for expanding mutual partnership in the political, trade, economic, energy, agricultural, transport, and humanitarian fields.
