Azerbaijani amphibious aircraft continues to extinguish fires in Türkiye
Amphibious aircraft BE-200ChS of the aviation detachment of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, sent on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev to Türkiye to assist in measures to combat severe forest fires, continues fire extinguishing.
The Ministry said that on August 28, the aircraft was involved in extinguishing fires in the direction of Balykesir-Edremit, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
On August 17, in accordance with the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the amphibious aircraft BE-200ChS was sent to help the brotherly country in fighting severe forest fires.
In recent days, forest fires have been recorded on the territory of Türkiye, hundreds of vehicles, dozens of helicopters and airplanes have been sent to fight them. Helicopters of the Turkish Armed Forces have also been involved in extinguishing the fire.
