Azerbaijani artist transforms house into neon arts museum
Farid Alakbarov, a representative of neon art, has transformed his house in Baku, Azerbaijan's capital, into a neon art museum. In the dark, artifacts that are not visible during the day take on a whole new dimension.
Azerbaijani artist Alakbarov exhibits his works in Baku's Novkhani settlement home museum of neon arts, which is the country's first, TRT Haber reports.
In daylight, the artist's neon colours made from corals from the Red Sea appear to be simple paintings or items.
However, when exposed to ultraviolet rays, particularly in the evening and at night, the works take on a new dimension.
In the dark, the neon-coloured kitchen, walls, and furnishings of the house transform into works of art.
Visitors are drawn in by this as well.
Alakbarov now plans to open a similar museum in Baku's city centre.
